Dr. Michael A. Kaliner is currently the Medical Director at the Institute for Allergy & Asthma, as well as Clinical Professor of Medicine at the George Washington School of Medicine and Section Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Washington Hospital Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Kaliner is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. He is board certified in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Kaliner is a member of the American Association for Advancement of Science, the American Association of Immunologist, the American Federation for Clinical Research, the Greater Washington Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society, as well as the World Allergy Organization.
Dr. Kaliner's research interests include pathogenesis and treatment of asthma, rhinitis, anaphylaxis, sinusitis and urticaria. He has more than 475 original manuscripts, reviews, chapters and books. He was awarded a patent on the IgE Fc directed delivery system in 1990 and has another patent pending.
