Dr. Paul Manson is Professor of Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Chief of Plastic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry from Northwestern University and earned his MD from Northwestern University Medical Center. He completed his residency at Boston City and New England Deaconess Hospitals and fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Manson is board certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the International Society of Craniofacial Surgeons. He is an active member of the International Society of Craniofacial Surgeons and serves on the Board of Trustees of the AO Foundation. He is President of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and has served as the President of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Association of Program Chairman in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Manson has written over 400 articles and lectured all over the world. His clinical interests include facial injuries and facial surgery, facial skin cancers and craniofacial surgery. His research interests include bone healing, bone growth, ischemia, and craniofacial surgery.
