Dr. Peter Tsairis is Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Cornell University Medical Center and an attending neurologist at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He graduated with distinction from Trinity College and earned his MD from Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Tsairis completed his internship and a residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital as well as a residency in neurology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Tsairis is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnostics.
He is a fellow for the American Academy of Neurology. He was a research scientist at the National Institutes of Health neurological service and has written extensively on the neurophysiology and anatomy of the motor unit. Dr. Tsairis is an author of the textbook, Sports Neurology.
Dr. Tsairis is a Consultant Neurologist for the New York Giants professional football team and is a lecturer on sports neurology and euro-orthopedics at Hospital for Special Surgery.
